KINDERGARTEN: WHAT PEOPLE SAY
We all had an incredible year of learning and growing with Mrs. King. Our daughter truly loved Mrs. King and the entire kindergarten experience. We found Mrs. King, and the other Saint Joseph’s faculty and staff, to provide the perfect balance of education, nurturing, structure and genuine caring. Our daughter’s reading, math, writing, social and other learning skills advanced wonderfully. Just as importantly, she enjoyed the experience and is thrilled to begin 1st grade at Saint Joseph’s.
We are all impressed and delighted with the school and community at Saint Joseph’s. We intend to send all of our children there. Next

Olivia is our fifth child, but our first to attend kindergarten at a parochial school -- and what a difference! We saw the benefits immediately-- she relates the spirituality that is infused into her school day to many aspects in her life. I don't have to prompt her -- she tells us all about the wonderful things she's learning about God's love, and initiates prayers at bedtime. The Catholic education that she's getting at such an early age will only get better, and we're so pleased. Next

Our experience in our son's kindergarten year at Saint Joseph's was wonderful. I was so impressed with the curriculum and how it was taught to the children. My son seemed to enjoy every bit of his day. I never heard any complaining about going to school, he loved every minute! I was so delighted with the communication and how you felt like everyone was part of a big family. All the staff and other families were very helpful and involved. Mrs. King’s door was always open if you needed to talk, which is so important. This experience was more than I ever expected from a school. My son is looking forward to starting first grade in the fall. Next

I cannot say enough about what a fabulous year my son had at Saint Joe's kindergarten. He has blossomed into an independent, more mature, respectful young person. Mrs. Grigsby and the staff at Saint Joe's have taught my son in such a loving, comfortable, stable and professional environment. I always felt welcome as a parent to help participate, spend time at lunch and recess, and explore the fun activities at school. Mrs. Grigsby not only provided my son with the core tools needed to succeed in school but made his learning exciting and fun. Mrs. Grigsby has such a delightful and warm personality. She has built strong and loving relationships with each student and their parents as well. Our family has enjoyed this year so much. I am forever grateful to Mrs. Grigsby and the other teachers at Saint Joe's who have helped secure a family-oriented, safe, and happy place for our children to thrive. William says, "School was really fun. I made many new friends and I love my teachers." When you can learn in a fun, happy, and safe environment, you cannot go wrong!!!! Next

My daughter was beyond excited to begin kindergarten at Saint Joseph's school. I was a little leery of full day kindergarten at first. However, Mrs. King filled the day with fun and exciting activities while adding "down time" when necessary.
Having teachers so attuned to the physical as well as spiritual needs of our children is a blessing beyond measure.
Emma learned so much. Along with singing the 50 states alphabetically, she is now reading small chapter books. The core enrichment she received while in kindergarten has more than prepared her for first grade. Watching Emma grow in her love for the Lord was heartwarming, and to see the children begin and end their day with a prayer, priceless. What a worthy investment in our children! Thank you Mrs. King! Our kindergarten experience at Saint Joe's was awesome! We were very pleased with how far Jack came with learning to read, write numbers and letters so well. By the second half of the year he was reading to us his basic Level 1 books -- such as Biscuit. He had recognized so many words that he didn't know before. We know this will just continue to flourish, as it did with our daughter who just completed sixth grade.
Even though the class size was on the larger side (I was a little concerned at first), it didn't matter because Mary Grigsby was very able and capable to handle the challenge! We were proud she was our son's (and daughter's) teacher.
The religious education was also impressive, as it wasn't just "thrown in" here and there; it is a daily experience in different forms, i.e. praying, worksheets, Mass, adoration, etc. Next

Josh's kindergarten experience was wonderful. He loved going to school and hated if he had to miss a day because he was sick. The teachers made it so much fun, the kids didn't even know they were learning. (And they learned so much!) Kindergarten is the foundation of your child's school career and it starts with the teachers. Josh couldn't say enough about the teachers. He loves them! He even asked if he could keep Mrs. Grigsby for first grade.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience for him. Back to Top
